We are able to provide a number of options for eco-friendly coffins including cardboard (which can be plain or decorated), as well as those made from natural materials such as bamboo and willow, and even wool.

We can arrange for a Natural Burial Ground funeral where there are no formal headstones just wildflowers or trees in a natural setting. The nearest locations are: Hassocks, Woodingdean, Heathfield and Edenbridge.

We are also happy to advise if you are considering a burial on private land.

We do not routinely carry out embalming, (sometimes referred to as ‘hygienic treatment’), although this can be arranged at the direct request of the family, or as a regulatory requirement. Please be aware that Natural Burial Grounds will not normally accept anyone who has been embalmed.
